Adults: We are having a great time in our Wednesday evening mid-week service. In the auditorium we are showing the video series, "Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage." This series has been very helpful as we see why men do the things they do and why women do the things they do. Join us this evening at 7:00 PM for a time of prayer, fellowship, and for this series. I can promise you that you will leave with a smile on your face.
Don't forget that this Saturday at 8:30am is our Men's Breakfast! Join other men in our church and community for a fellowship and great food. It is not too late to sign up...just call the church office and reserve your spot now!
Don't forget that this Sunday, March 7, is the annual "Double-the-Tithe" here at Heritage. We are encouraging everyone to take a step of faith and give graciously as we double our tithe. We also encourage those who do not presently tithe to make this Sunday the first week to begin tithing. We are excited to see what God will do in our church and in the lives of our members!
Men, don't forget that this Sunday we will start sign-ups for the Men's Breakfast on Saturday, March 6th. There is no cost for this -- only your presence is required. Join us for some great food and fellowship.
Also, don't forget about the Men's Bible Study that meets each Saturday morning here at HBC at 9:00 AM. The numbers are growing and each week we have several new men attending. There is a place for you!
February 7-14 is National Marriage Week. Tonight we will start the video series, "Laugh Your Way to a Happy Marriage," in the auditorium for those adults that are not involved in a ministry on Wednesday Evenings. Be sure to bring your entire family tonight as there is a ministry for every age!
Golden Agers have canceled their meeting and Valentines Dinner for tomorrow, February 10. They have rescheduled the event for next Wednesday, February 17 here at the church.
Pastor Moore began a new series on stewardship yesterday. He challenged all of us to put to death our "Isaacs" and make God our highest priority. What a challenge all of us needed to hear! Check out the message now under downloads.
Here is a brief thought for today as we prepare for the weekend:
"Churches don't die because of the type of people there, churches die because the people who are there don't care about the people out there." San Rainer
Now, let's invite someone to visit HBC this weekend!
Bethany Christian Services may be receiving Haitian children and youth eligible for foster care through its Unaccompanied Minor Refugee program and is looking for people willing to become licensed foster care providers.
This program is always in need of homes as youth from many countries of the world are placed through our program. The need for homes is urgent with the recent crisis in Haiti and the anticipation of Haitian children arriving in the US. Please prayerfully consider this opportunity to respond to refugee youth who have experienced overwhelming tragedy.
Informational meetings have been scheduled for January 26, 7-8 PM at Kentwood Community Church and February 8 & 22, 6:30-8 PM at Bethany Conference Center in Grand Rapids.
